Environment
Your Diverse 2016 should be kept
free of dust, moisture, high
temperature, vibration and should
not be exposed to direct sunlight.
Do not stand it on carpets or other
surfaces which generate fibres or
place it in locations which prevent
the free flow of air over its surfaces.
How many phones can you have?
All items of telephone equipment
have a Ringer Equivalence Number
(REN), which is used to calculate
the number of items that may be
connected to any one telephone
line. The Diverse 2016 with up to 6
handsets has a REN of 1. Any other
instrument provided by BT may be

The apparatus is only designed to
be operated in a normal office or
domestic environment where the
relative humidity does not exceed
75%. It should not be used in
bathrooms or near water.

Approval
Connection to the BT telephone
network.
Diverse 2016 is fully approved for
connection to the BT network
provided it is used according to the
instructions in this guide.
Generally, the Diverse 2016 can be
connected to any switchboard
supporting tone and pulse dialling
as well as timed break and earth
recall signalling.
If you have any difficulties, please
consult your switchboard service
provider.
Note: the Caller Display service
will not operate when your Diverse
base station is connected to a
switchboard.
